THINGS TO SEE AND DO
The Sleat Peninsula is the most verdant part of Skye and known as the Garden of Skye.
The map (left) shows some of the many attractions. The list below shows some of the other things to see and do on and beyond Skye
Morar bed and breakfast is in the Highlands of Scotland, on the Isle of Skye. Access to the Island can be via
Mallaig (CalMac Ferry) to Armadale (Ardvasar 1 mile)
Glenleg to Kylerhea (Private Ferry)
Kyle of Lochalsh to Kyleakin (Skye Bridge – toll free)
Tarbert to Uig (CalMac Ferry)
By Car from Fort William:- Follow the A82 north to Invergarry. Turn left on the A87 towards Kyle of Lochalsh and THE SKYE BRIDGE. Cross the bridge and follow the A87 signs for Portree.
Just before BROADFORD turn left on the A851 and follow the road to ARDVASAR. Pass the HOTEL on the right and go up the hill and take the SECOND turning on the LEFT (by our sign). Morar is at the end of the lane.
By Car from Inverness:- Follow the A82 north to Invergarry. From there proceed as above.
By Air:- Inverness Airport is nearest with connections to the rest of the United Kingdom.
By Train:- All main line stations to Inverness. Highland line to Kyle of Lochalsh, Morar B&B is 20 miles by road further on (see above).
Alternatively: From Fort William to Mallaig. Then Ferry to Armadale. Morar B&B is 1 mile from the ferry terminal.
By Bus:- It is possible to get to Ardvasar by bus from Inverness, Glasgow or Edinburgh. It involves changing buses and careful planning. We advise travellers to consult the following websites for travel timetables :
